All video tapes and digital video disks are ordered with closed captions when available in that format. Selected video players in the libraries are programmed to display closed captions. If you require assistance with the closed captioned medium or equipment, ask staff at the circulation desk. Our library staff is available to access additional resources through the Library For The Blind And Physically Handicapped, a division of The State Library of North Carolina.
Books and journals in large print, braille, or audio formats not available in the Wake Tech Libraries may be borrowed through interlibrary loan from the State Library of North Carolina's Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. Material will be delivered to Wake Tech for use within the library. Some materials may be borrowed for home use. To inquire about holdings in these formats or to request an item through interlibrary loan, ask staff at the circulation desk.
You may also register with the State Library of North Carolina's Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped to participate in their delivery services. If you qualify for the service, material and equipment will be mailed to your home. Contact their staff for an application.
