Wake Tech Libraries Virtual Reference Service
The Wake Tech Library staff nows offers a virtual reference instant messaging (IM) service. During the hours of service, you can send an instant message to a librarian by typing your question in the box below. Or if you are already a user of one of the IM services listed below, you can add the library screen name to your buddy list and ask a question from there.
Hours of Service:
9 am-1 pm Monday-Friday
The service will be unavailable the following dates:
July 4 (closed)
July 30-August 17 (student break).
IM service will resume August 18th (Fall semester begins).
Note: In-person patrons have priority over IM patrons. If you need assistance when the Virtual Reference Service is not available, you may e-mail wakereference@waketech.edu or call 919-866-5643.

NC Knows Virtual Reference Service
In an effort to cooperate in the provision of virtual reference service to North Carolinians, Wake Tech libraries have been selected to participate in the North Carolina Virtual Reference service, which is provided by the State Library of North Carolina. We are one of 18 libraries across the state that will staff a virtual reference desk, answering questions with 24/7 virtual reference software. These questions cover all areas from K-12 and up to college and university levels. The service is available to any user with access to the internet.
